Time not to have a new mobile phone
Mine's less than 2 years old but the joystick key often fails to respond, and there are things I can't do without it. Often it fails to register, say, left, but then after several attempts at left, registers push and so sends the half-completed text, error and all.
The phone does exactly what I want, except work right. I bought it to replace the previous one, which did the same after about the same time.
I suspect they're designed to outlast the guarantee and then go kaput about the time when you ought to use your loyalty points and sign up for a contract extension, to get a subsidised replacement. Or buy a new phone because it looks glitzier and does lots more.
But I don't want to do that because I need an unlocked phone, and I don't want any more "features", and I hate spending hundreds just to replace the same thing.
