It still warms my heart to know that the Queen was at home for my last ever journey past.

On the way to Heathrow when I left London, our taxi took us past Buckingham Palace. As we drove down the Mall I could see that the Union Jack was being lowered and by the time we were right outside the Palace the Royal Standard had been raised in its place.
