On the way to Heathrow when I left London, our taxi took us past Buckingham Palace. As we drove down the Mall I could see that the Union Jack was being lowered and by the time we were right outside the Palace the Royal Standard had been raised in its place. After the Old English period, Britain was used as a historical term only. Geoffrey of Monmouth in his pseudohistorical Historia Regum Britanniae (c. 1136) refers to the island of Great Britain as Britannia major ("Greater Britain"), to distinguish it from Britannia minor ("Lesser Britain"), the continental region which approximates to modern Brittany. The term "Great Britain" was first used officially in 1474, in the instrument drawing up the proposal for a marriage between Cecily the daughter of Edward IV of England, and James the son of James III of Scotland, which described it as "this Nobill Isle, callit Gret Britanee." Monarchy costs around £60 mln per year - it certainly attract tourists that bring in far more money.
She also does not tax you, does not bring country into unnecessary war, does not provide false hopes etc etc.
Utter SH1T, France does not have a monarchy, tourists still go there including visiting Versailles.
The Royal Family got rich by taxation, murder and steeling land from the poor. They should give it back.
Six millions were killed in WW1 due to the British Royal Family who were actually Germans having an argument with their German Cousin over carving up the Empires.
