Can't beat The Snowman for a perfect Christmas short film. I kinda like just about any version of A Christmas Carol.

    Fantastic movie.
Nevermind the "film" (as we say in England), What about the tune? Sensational IMHO.

Citizen Kane is worth the effort, especially since it makes an excellent Colombo episode worth watching.

It's a Wonderful Life: bedwetter's existence makes a minor effect on an insignificant town; contrived suicide prevented by a ghost; town all decide bedwetter is a national hero and holds a ticker-tape parade for him.

Isn't it "Sound of Music" = Xmas; "Great Escape" = Easter?

IMDB has been going for 70 years! Wow!

That film was a box office flop, made a loss, and got no awards, BTW. Its success is a modern phenomenon. It is the Merkin Christmas Carol, but without the good writing, plot, characterisation or script.

It is a silly film, with a contrived plot, a silly premise and a childish ending.

The Snow Goose is a far, far better example of the genre. But that was a British film, so does not count on IMDB.

Gets 8.7 on IMDB. That must land it in the top 10 films of all time on the site.
