It must be remembered that politicians do not exist to serve the people or do what is in the national interest, their job is to ... <pass, anyone know?>
Wasn't there some tedious old scrote on here banging on and on before the General Election about how the big political parties are only in it for themselves, and their MPs are just serving the political parties and not the public? And how people should vote for minority parties or independents if they want things to change? It think it was in that persons .sig for months.

David (along with Theresa) was originally opposed to the EU FTA with India.
Seems they have shown weakness to pressure from the Lib Dems.
Given that immigration was one of the most important issues during the elections and leader debates, this move wont do very well for them in the polls.
