6 of which we smashed past them

Yet they are not prolific in the Italian League.

On a related note, Liverpool have just appointed Damien Comolli as their "director of football strategy".

Comolli's past experience as a football strategarian includes the strategy of dumping Martin Jol and headhunting Juande Ramos, at great expense, for Spurs. What a success that was.

Harry Redknapp was once asked what he thinks of "directors of football strategy". Not much of his reply would get past the CUK swear filter, apart from the w**ker smiley. Good luck Woy Hodgson.

But they were the 2nd in goals scored in the CL.

As a neutral it was a great game. And the English team won.

Good job lads, long may it continue, until the end.

A really impressive result against a top side. Bit worried about Van der Vaert having to come off, was he injured? Hope not, as I have him in my Fantasy Footy team and he has been worth a few points. Good win for Man U too, but did anyone catch the Rangers result? I do hope they did jolly well in order to help Scotland's coefficient and all......

I was looking forward to this game. I am still wobbly from the pub, so am trying to temper the emotions that run in my veins with that of logic.

I doubt it was a tactical decision for the defence to stand still for the first 3 goals...

I'd rather have Harry than Benitez, shame he hasn't been at Inter long enough to ruin their team just yet.
