    Sounds fair enough to me. They obviously can't find talented people among 500 million in Europe, so open the borders....

    My client employs plenty of Indians and that seems to be because not enough do systems/software courses and not enough want to
    work in engineering. UK engineering rates not being especially generous.

    Require £50k minimum permanent salary as condition of workpermit issued (very high penalties for lies in applications, non payment) - that would sort out 90% of the problems.

    The evidence reveals that one leading City law firm has been set a cap that is lower than the number of people it needs to hire from outside Europe. The firm says that the employees from Japan and the US are vital if it is to maintain its global competitive edge.
    Sounds fair enough to me. They obviously can't find talented people among 500 million in Europe, so open the borders....
