I hate doing it but only because the frogs are too stupid to move, I imagine a frog world where I am known as the 'death bringer'.
My misses (and more recently my daughter) won't talk to me if I accidentally slice one in half.

You could always keep a sheep or a goat or geese instead of squirrels. Then you could also have milk, cheese, eggs or meat.
Can you get much milk from a squirrel?
