One idiot looked at my CV and said "I see you've had quite a few contracts" - my shortest was 6 months. He didn't understand that quite a few contracts start off as 3 months and then get extended or the fact that I'd done work for the same client for more than 1 occasion.
Oh well, his loss, not mine. Anyway, start a new 12 month gig on 1st November *Boomed*.

Point of order
I didn't count "repeats" (i.e. returns to previous clients) because that would nearly have doubled my total. Should I have done?

Just checked the Forum's Give-a-Toss Meter. Not even a flicker. Come back later if you have any relevant input, or better still...don't bother.Originally posted by BolshieBastard View PostSince I passed my driving test about 35 years ago, I've had about 12 different cars, even managing to own more than one at the same time for the last couple of years.
Does that make me a better driver than others? What a tulip thread.

No it isn't. You get brought in to deliver a project within n months. You do it and you move on. fair few of my contracts have been like this.Originally posted by RichardCranium View PostAnd as a PM, having wodges of gigs is surely A Bad Thing, suggesting one is not capable of seeing the job through. Wodges of gigs should suggest you are good at what you do (and write your cv accordingly)
