Anybody else managed to go from gig to gig recently?
I managed that in March. This time however I've been looking since Sept and my market has a serious puncture. All of this seems in line with current UK business and consumer confidence though, so not really surprised. Have recently managed to line up a couple of interviews at least.
I just started my 2nd contract after finishing 8 months in my first role. Role is much better as well. Anybody else managed to go from gig to gig recently?
How is everybody else finding the market?
Yep - 2nd time this year gig to gig. Wasn't even looking this time as a month holiday was planned, but was called whilst away and telephone interviewed for start when I got back. Client was prepared to wait a month. I've been lucky as Release/Config/Build Manager roles have been in demand this year. A lot of clients looking at redefining their SDLC's (tools and processes) to find savings so plenty of work.
