Probem is this board is full of moaning c@nts.Originally posted by expatBBC say "House prices in England and Wales fell by 2% in the last three months of 2005".
Yahoo! say "house prices rose 4.60 percent in October to December on the same period a year earlier".
So they fell in Oct-Dec but were still higher than the same period a year before. And the problem is?
Don't spoil their fun.

Yahoo is confused.Originally posted by The Lone GunmanI think you are confused.
They say
"The Land Registry, a government agency which records details of all property transactions, said house prices rose 4.60 percent in October to December on the same period a year earlier." (my italics)
and they (Yahoo) deduce from this that
"Residential house prices in England and Wales rose at a slightly faster pace in the final quarter of 2005, official figures showed on Wednesday."
which is incorrect and was not said by the Land Registry.
The BBC is clearer:
"House prices in England and Wales fell by 2% in the last three months of 2005...
But the annual rate of price increase, at 4.6%... "
