    'Cos you isn't a contractor.

Actually my AMG used to leave puddles of water occasionally under the car and that was due to the air conditioning and nothing to worry about according to the dealer. The engine blew up later...

Actually I service my car at the dealers usually, but don't do MOT anymore with them - last time I serviced it was last year I think.

If I see it leak more I think I'll have to go to some garage, don't like reputation of Kwik Fit though.

Your a/c should be drained and recharged every two years. The new environmentally friendly gas is pours in aluminium. You have been penny pinching so go to a specialist (not Kwik Fit) get it drained, and recharged with a sealant. This should cost about £50

Dip your finger in it and sniff it. If it smells of fuel, it is fuel. If it's oily it's oil / brake / transmission fluid.

I noticed this change in my car's behavior and it was consistent with fuel leak I had last year.

I did not observe such aircon condensation leaks previously, maybe because I don't get up that early in the morning

Can it be that aircon is just old and causes this tulip? I am pretty sure replacing it would cost as much as the car is now worth - and I've got me private plate P4 YOV on it reminding me about my working days at certain retailer

I had severe condensation on the insides of my car windows with my last car. It happened on the first cold snap of winter. Took it to the garage and they patched it up muttering something about major components of the aircon. The chap at reception wouldn't tell me what a proper replacement would cost (probably didn't want to have a heart attack on his hands) so I assumed the worst and started looking for another motor.
