I hear about that quite a lot in the city, secret bank accounts, secret credit cards, spare mobiles etc....

That is not always to do with hiding dosh from the mrs.

I remember a BBC "Our Foreign Correspondent" report from France, where the man from La Tante was explaining joint bank accounts to a French aristocrat.

The French aristocrat's response was "Ah, but you don't have a French wife".
