    in 2006 RPI stood at around 200, today it's around 225

    in 2006 GBP stood at around 1.9 to the USD and the euro was worth about 67p

    today GBP is less than 1.6 to USD and the euro is worth over 80p despite weakening for an extended period.

    House prices return to 2006 levels - Property - UpMyStreet | UpMyStreet

    Average property prices returned to 2006 levels between May and June creeping up 0.1% to £166,072, according to the Land Registry's latest house price index.

    It has been the eighth successive month of positive price news for homeowners with house prices up 8.4% in the year to June 2010.

    Over the past 12 months, all regions in England and Wales have experienced increases in their average property value.

    London experienced the highest annual price change with an increase of 12.2%.

    Boomed! Safe as houses. You cannot beat bricks and mortar.
