A couple of years ago I drove out of a service station having left my petrol cap on the boot, and had to return the next day.

On enquiring sheepishly if they had found a Jag petrol cap, I expected or hoped the assistant would say "Ah, yes, here it is. We wondered when you'd be back", and triumphantly produce the cap.

But instead the guy reached under the till with a weary sigh, and hauled out a huge box full of two or three hundred petrol caps. "Here, guv, see if it's among this lot".

So was this - hilarious to see the Ferrari pit team doing a 400 metres dash down the pit straight to retrieve the hose

started a topic Oooops at the petrol station this evening

Oooops at the petrol station this evening

    evening all,

on the way back stopped at the petrol station to fill up

the car in front of me, a subaru estate filled up and went to pay and came back and then
    drove off.....

with the pump nozzle still in the subaru's filler

there was a terrible crashing sound and the gentleman driving said subaru stopped to have a look

needless to say there were sneers all round for the rest of us still filling our cars

I've never seen such an error before

    was bloody funny though

    Milan.

Working...
