I played rugby against Spain once. They came to play against Holland and played a warm up game against my regional side. Not bad; in fact, a pretty solid amateur team. We were beaten 35-5. They then beat Holland by a bit less.

Cycling is easy to predict I'd have thought. Whoever injects the most steroids without getting caught tends to win.
Blood doping.
The days of anabolic steroids ended with ben Johnson.

Ok, so Murray's a possible future winner of Wimbledon, but does anyone expect to see a British winner in the other 2 events in their lifetime? (you never know with cycling, but I can't see it happening in football)

I am Spanish and am proud of our achievements in
sports, but economically and socially the country
is headed for Third-world status. Sort of European
Argentina.
Anyway, another country ruined by Socialists (in
despite of the ubiquitous Santander branches in
the UK, Scottish Power owned by Iberdrola, O2
by Telefonica, etc).

Don't forget Fernando Alonso for the F1 Grand Prix, another "Spanish" champion.
Now if they could only get their economy and industry sorted out. ......

Although I've wondered if that's the case with the majority of high intensity sports. There are those athlete's that are clean - and then those who win.Originally posted by SofaKingdom View PostCycling is easy to predict I'd have thought.
