I dunno what other thinks, but this has been the best Proms I've ever been through.
I missed out on the one I wanted to go to, but I have seen/listen to either live or via iPlayer many of the sessions and I love 'em.

Zimmermann
A peculiar prom last night!
If you've time, fire up iplayer and listen to the Zimmerman "Rheinische Kirmestanze". It's a series of short pieces that are evocative of a drunken Tom 7 Jerry film.
It start about 16 minutes into this:
BBC iPlayer - BBC Proms: 2010: Prom 15: Stockhausen, Matthews, Schumann - Part 3

They are there now. I've got Radio 3 on though. The announcer said that it's a full house.

Having a box at the proms is fun, especially if you have a few of you and a picnic as some people seem to do.Originally posted by HairyArsedBloke View PostA friend of mine has a box booked for one of the Beethoven nights. It was a birthday present from one of his daughters. I can't stand her; typical public sector fat ugly leftie. I would have loved to have gone along as I am a big fan. I think the box is for 4 or 5. Only two of them will enjoy it (him and daughter no. 2), the others will hate it. Maybe one of 'em will drop out and I'll get a chance to go.
Though the Albert Hall can be quiet hot and stuffy during high summer.
