Allegedly, Osama Bin Laden has just released a new TV message to prove he is still alive. He said that the England team performance on Sunday was woeful.
British Intelligence have dismissed the claim stating the message could have been recorded anytime in the last 44 years.
One thing I can't understand is why all the England managers are on such large salaries.
I would have him on peanuts with bonuses built in.
Qualify for the World Cup - we expected that so NO BONUS
Make it to knockout stages - bit of a bonus
Make it further and the bonuses start racking up.
Capello is allegedly the best paid international manager in the world and we produced that poor performance and he still can sit back and wait for the £10 million in compensation when they sack him.
Which idiot draws up these contracts???
IMO there's no shortage of youngsters coming through but they all too often hit a glass ceiling when it comes to the very highest level, the top clubs need to be in the CL and that means buying the best value talent available at the time no mater where they're from. Why nurture home grown talent when CSKA Sofia will sell you a gifted youngsters fresh from their academy at a fraction of the cost?
WHS
Ironically, the problem will take longer to resolve in England, as they appear to be last in line to lose the prodigious amounts of TV cash that the likes of SKY generate.
Other countries are much further down the road of having to apply fiscal sense, and have been forced to start producing homegrown talent to remain commercially viable. This will bear fruit in a few years time.
With Michel Platini at UEFA pushing for clubs that are financially irresponsible to be prevented from competing in the CL and Europa League, a "correction" is inevitable.
It ain't gonna be pretty, but it is long overdue that a lot of these profligate clubs were forced to operate within their means.

1) We must get out of the habit of blaming somone else. That is just way too arrogant.
2) If tactics/selection were to blame, blame Capello. However if performance was the root cause it has to rest with the players. Rooney was just not in form for a start!
3) The FA have to look inwardly at the following points:
- Lack of a youth acadamy
- Encouragement/development of young talent
- Structure of English game
- Focus at club level on fostering English talent
- Whether FA is there to support clubs or provide focus for the national team
- Wage caps for players
We have to stop the death of our national sport. We have to be less arrogant. Meanwhile I am off to watch some rugby.....!!
