England will fail alright...but not because of Sven. England will fail because they are crap at poofball. Its as simple as that

Don't forget what was before Sven - Keegan. Great player, good tub-thumping club manager for a while, but never an international coach.
So, the English FA went for the best available option at the time. Their mistake was to extend Sven's contract at a grossly inflated wage.
Anyway, £5 million is nothing beside what the FA are wasting on their new national stadium.

One has to ask the question though, what were the tabloids after by running this dirty little campaign so close to the world cup?
Sure run these stories AFTER the world cup (when England once again bombs out before even getting close to the finals) but for the love of god, why run such a story now that will not only distract the manager but most likely also distract the players?

Then if he wins the World Cup, the press will love him and he will get the job for life.............
