I did have one house with a really dodgy drain, but a council busy-body turned up with one of these historical preservation orders saying we couldn't knock down that corner of the house to redo the bathroom. Oddly enough about a week later the local dustbin wagon accidentally reversed into it anyway. So it got sorted at the same time it was rebuilt, with the council insurance paying the lot, and because of the preservation order, it was all the top craftsmen too.
Which is nice.

We tried everything. Cups of Soda in a boil wash. Vinegar. More soda. More boiling. Smell would disappear briefly, but return with a vengeance. Eventually we replaced the washing machine. That worked.Originally posted by norrahe View PostWTS works every time

Spray the inside of the machine with half a bottle of her favourite perfume. Tell her that next time it will be a whole bottle. That'll soon lick her into shape and free her from her slovenly ways.Originally posted by Peoplesoft bloke View PostOf the bad smell in the washing machine that occurs when her indoors has left a load in there for too long?
HTH
PS You may want to inform her of your actions and ultimatums by post

Run it empty at the maximum temperature for a full cycle. This also clears whiffy drains.
