Yes, but 8 tentacles on an octopus is correct and means there are plenty for me to eat.

He might be hinting that the 23rd pair is a non-identical pair in human males. It is still a pair though so the objection could be overruled by the judge.

You are right, I think it should be "8 triangles on a regular octahedron".

However, as I understand it, there are 23 pairs of chromosomes in the human body. What is wrong with that answer?

I would have thought not cheating is definitely a sign of low intelligence.

    Only if it doesn't cheat.

The brick isn't and neither the complex algorithm you write is. However, if they claim that their test measures intelligence, and my program passes it, then surely either my program or myself must be intelligent. It cannot be me because I got bored after 6 questions, and I doubt I can get more than half right anyway. So it must be my program, then

After a certain age yes, according to MENSA anyway.

They make allowances for children and older people.

I got 24, time for Rugby on TV so looked up the answers.

Of the remaining 9, 5 I would never have got. It is especially ironic that 30 is one of these.

Of the other 4 I could have got, 2 might have eluded me for a long time.

The test is much easier than they claim. My IQ as officially measured in primary school was well short of genius. On the BBC test recently it had fallen 20 points since primary school. Do we get stupider as we get older? I certainly felt stupid doing the BBC test.
