Yeah, putting that bar at the top in the header is awful Usability. It took me about 5 minutes to find where I login with the new layout, the fact the form box is aligned on top of an advert does not help at all.

I found the notification at the top of the screen was good enough for me to turn the pop-up off. Having said that I had better check now to see if I have any messages that I had missed.
EDIT: No, no messages so it is working out fine for me.

How do I know if I have private messages?
The old forum used to display "You have 0 messages" (or on rare occasions "You have 1 message", etc).
But now I can't see anything like that. So for all I know there may be half a dozen urgent messages stacked up.
Could someone PM me, just to see what happens?
