    Money doesn't buy class though . I went on it between Venice and Rome in 2000 and got abuse of a scouse bloke for ordering mineral water at the bar.

    We did a day trip to Stratford Upon Avon via the OE, not quite the far east run, but an enjoyable day none the less, £350: woth it for the memories.

    I went on it in 1985 when I was eurorailing - Paris to Vienna, be we were slumming it in cattle class. Got a sleeping car tho, found it impossible to sleep, had same problem on Trans Siberian...
