Spod, it would help to understand a little more. I'm sure the Masons don't want any jerk turning up hoping to catch a ride on the supposed <toot> <toot> gravy train. Wouldn't do to turn up at the first Lodge meeting expecting a BBQ.
Besides, I thought membership required two referees.
WS, write a letter to your local Lodge to start the ball rolling. It's quite a lengthy process that will all be explained to you.
