I think we made the mistake when we took him with his busted metatarsel - he pulled out of a tackle with Rivaldo which led directly to one of Brazil's Goals.

Becks is a footballing icon of the last 10-15 years.
and he is still a damn good player - if he was fit he should be a shoe in -- however if he is not going to be fully match fit then he does not go.
