Previously on "Expanding your property options - Nuclear Bunker?"
I hope to be in the market for one soon, but I'll need a much bigger one - I'll reserve a place for you there MF, you'll be doing the dirty bunker work when the lights go out
There is just one problem - the only connection to that bunker is a BT line, probably safe to say it is miles away from any exchange, here is what the ebay link says:
"There is a BT line to a telephone in the bunker. However, communication would have been via teletalk (as seen in the photo). "
Many is the time I've bid too much for tat I don't want after a few glasses of wine on a Sunday evening. I don't need a nuclear bunker. I really don't...
A guy I worked with on a recent gig was in negotiations for one of the command and control bunkers in the North West, it was nuclear hardened and a lot larger than the one you linked.
He was outbid in the long run which was a pity, he really wanted the place and his plans were pretty impressive.
If i had a spare 14K i'd be kind of tempted. Nice part of the world, i could buy some Llamas to graze the land and i'm sure there's loads of people who'd pay for the novelty of a couple of days self catering in a bunker.
Yes - good stop over for walkers. Gotta be worth it!
Quite a few former nuclear bunkers are now secure data centres.
Good plan.
