I was about to buy a retro-looking digital Roberts radio the other week, until I remembered that the originals had a rotating base, and the Chinese copy didn't.
I refuse house-room to those retro radios. I just cannot see the attraction. Would anyone buy a Bakelite mobile phone with a big dial on the front?

It seems to be a tried and tested routine here to label every new poster as "sockie" and then stand back in shock and horror as news finally filters through that the said "sockie" turned up in some meetup.
