You are all forgetting that news is entertainment now. The channels are all competing for the higest viewers and this is what people want to see.
It's like asking for all the radio stations to play wall to wall Mozart all day. Sure, he is probably the most gifted composer that ever lived but it's not going to happen because Lady Gaga bluffin' with her muffin is regarded as more important.

It's a sign of the fooked up world we've created, one that worships celebs. I thought the same also, who cares, why are we listening to this guy. As if the guy would say anything else right?
"Oh, yes, I fooked loads of women while married and loved every god damn moment of it, it made me feel alive".
He doesn't have any real regrets over it, other than being busted!

I feel I must register a complaint based on the amount of coverage the BBC feels it must give to Tiger Woods on the evening news today. For this to be the lead story, with so much coverage and expense in terms of reporting (from the UK, from Florida) is laughable.
The infidelities of a sportsman (not even British) should warrant so much coverage is not becoming of the BBC. Is the BBC to pander to the crass tabloid coverage. Surely then that John Terry should warrant lead billing.
Afghanistan, or the Falklands story should have been a higher billing.
Please review your prioritisation process for the headline news and ensure whoever it is that reads the Sun is not calling the shots!

I would like to thank my friends at Accenture and the players in the field this week for understanding why I'm making these remarks today.
