I fear it could be more Fleety - I don't believe they have given any figures for the bus blast yet.

I have got in contact with most of my friends in London except for one...

    Dead

I won't be surprised if by tomorrow morning, the death toll will have been reported to be similar to Madrid's bombings i.e. approx 200.

Russian mass-media report 50 dead, BBC seems to use 2.

I don't go along with the conspiracy theory, but Sky are now (14:55) reporting 45 dead but the beeb are still saying just 2. Both say 'at least'. Perhaps the beeb are more conservative, or maybe they're just bobbins.

Well think about it...you are sitting in the control room of the underground and you notice one of the lights on your control board has come up/turned off. What are you going to think...especially if that event is usually associated with a power outage?

As far as Im aware there is no flashy light in London control rooms for terrorist bombs.

I've watch BBC 24, ITN News and Sky - Sky and ITV seem to jump to the bomb scenario more quickly than the BBC. I think the BBC are a little more reserved in their reporting.

    Sad day...

I don't think Tony is that bad, just as I don't believe Bush arranged 9/11.

FSB planting bombs in Moscow to help Putin...now that I believe, but can't say any more

Can you imagine the carnage if the attacks had happened yesterday? It would have been mayhem.

Looks like AQ didn't expect London to win the bid.

    Olympic Security

Yesterday, the estimated cost of security at the London Olympics was £200 million (only a quarter of what Athens spent). I guess it starts going up now.

The first day after the vote is as good as any to kick off HMG's "ten-to-one" rule.

Why would he? it's pretty true. They probably have had more experience than anyone else in the world.

Point about terrorism is it is nearly impossible to stop totally if the terrorists are motivated enough
