apparently it was incredibly realistic - the prawn sandwiches seemed to loom right out of the screen at you.

AFAIK the football match was broadcast in HD through a standard sky HD box.Originally posted by original PM View Postslightly off topic but according to the gadget show 3DTV will be in your front room before the end of the year.
When they do eventually roll it out for home users all you'll need to buy is a 3D TV or projector (+screen)
The sky HD box will just need a (automatic) software update to make it compatible
Edit: just checked google and here's the official Sky press release

Yeah I saw it. Gripping, special effects were amazing. Funny watching blue people at first though but you get used to it very quickly.

I'm guessing that you are interested in hearing from those who saw it in the pub in 3d rather than those who went to the game to watch it.Originally posted by original PM View Postslightly off topic but according to the gadget show 3DTV will be in your front room before the end of the year.
but yes would be interested to hear from anyone who saw the match in 3D
