You have to change your profile so that people can see if you have looked at their profile and that is the only way that you can see who has viewed yours without having to pay.

I didn't realise Linked In CVs were searchable via Google and that someone can get paid a serious wad of cash writing up Google search strings. Although one tries to get them to use a profile that doesn't make them stick out like a sore thumb, it is nearly impossible to get low level grunts to understand this stuff.
