Fook all wrong with TizerOriginally posted by Board Game Geek View PostI don't mind Dr Pepper either.
I like most fizzy drinks, tbh, apart from Tizer or Lilt.
Does anyone remember when MaccyD's first came to the UK, they used to sell "Root Beer" ?
Never seen it since.

Yes it is a shame. In my twenties I thought that a milk round would be a good Plan B. Fresh air, physical exercise and your own boss.Originally posted by The_Equalizer View PostI always try and buy a pint of milk instead of a bottle of fizz when looking for a drink. Would always buy that organic stuff as I understand the cows are less intensively milked than 'standard' milk. It is a crying shame that milk is a loss leader in supermarkets.

Of course I'd heard rumours of recent craziness in the financial system, but this has really brought it home to me. Wasn't that roughly how Nick Leeson got started?

Root beer used to be the tastiest thing about Maccy D's. It tasted of TCP.
When they took that away I moved onto their vanilla milkshakes (with an espresso shot in in on a bad morning). I haven't dined beneath the golden arches for about 8 years now but I hope they still do them.

When i was an art student in Cardiff, we used to drink sarsaparilla in coffee bars, never seen it since. Although I think it was a bit like dandelion & burdock.

I like DR Pepper - THERE I've said it now!
I like and I will drink it and you wont stop me
Although I have to confess I am the only person I know who likes it

That's tapping a vein of old school Lancs class resentment. There are thousands of textile barons and supermarket owners up there who wouldn't be seen dead in 1st Class and would rather pay the extra. For another tenner they let you bring your own Tupperware 'snap'.

in a similar vein, am in the process of booking a train ticket to london from manchester next week, and the standard class fare is £109.00 each way, first class is £74.00 each way.
Bonkers!

Yes, everyone else in the world loves it or they're too scared to try it in case something happens ...apparently.Originally posted by Troll View PostAm I alone in thinking that Dr Pepper™ tastes vile?
