What this thread really needs is an "Eggspurt" to explain it all to us. In the absence of a true scientific visionary like Al Gore, what say we ask sas to run us through the math??

Which proves what? That we are in an interglacial period of warming.

In what way does a very gradual (0.8 deg C since 1880) warming mean it is man made?

Where is the simple proof the warming is not natural climatic drift?

Where's the hockey stick and the 6 deg c warming?
If it means more women wearing less then bring it on.

All of the 1880 data was by mercury thermometers in rural areas that are now ubran heat islands (cities and large towns now). So the readings then would of course be lower.

These included weather data from more than a thousand meteorological stations around the world, satellite observations of sea surface temperatures and Antarctic research station measurements.

Average global temperatures have increased warmed by about 1.5F (0.8C) since 1880, when records began, research showed.
