    ALL the Edinburgh Festival?

According to its own website, http://www.edfringe.com/about/2009 there were over 2,200 shows last year as part of the Fringe festival alone.

I went one year and the atmosphere in town is fantastic but you do not have a hope in hell of seeing more than a fraction of it.

(Having quickly just added up all the ticket prices for every show, it comes to about £2,300 for one person to attend all of them.)

The Leicester Comedy Festival and being benched

Radio 7 is currently broadcasting bits from the 2006 Leicester Comedy Festival. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00hls3n

This year it ( http://www.comedy-festival.co.uk/ ) has preview shows on Friday 15th, then Thursdays 21st and 28th of January.

It is then on for 17 days from 5th - 21st February 2010.

This got me to thinking: what festivals have you been able to really enjoy because you have been on the bench? For example has anyone managed to attend ALL of the Edinburgh Festival?
