    Indeed.

    However this shows that there is no energy security in this country - if there was, then there would be enough gas to deal with the problem.

    I'd blame Gordon Brown (among other people) for increasing taxes on North Sea exploration some years ago - that has resulted in companies scaling back investment and amount of gas piped from there has decreased.

    Power cuts in 1970s bring down government. A Conservative government.
