Enough of this "round earth" nonsense I believe that the recent festivities should have appeased the gods enough for them to warm us again. Works every year and thats a FACT

Oh dear. Your schooling left a lot to be desired.Originally posted by Clippy View PostSeems to be cold across the world at the moment - I see China has had heavy snowfalls recently and the US a few weeks ago. Are we heading towards a new ice age??
a) This is called "winter". It gets cold. Don't you remember getting cold last year too?
b) The world is - are you sitting down? - round. We live on the top half. Funnily enough, whatever weather we get, Gonzo and the rest of the other half get the opposite. So down there it is the sunny time called "summer".
c) This occurs regularly, and is quite normal. So don't fret about it, petal.

On his head I hopeOriginally posted by EternalOptimist View PostA little bit warmer, but only because I just came back inside after walking into Altrincham.
I just passed a bird, about 19 - 20, she was taking 2 inch steps on the ice and she was crying. Must have had a fall or something
It would take more than a hot water botttle. All three of us are working with our coats on, the MD has his scarf an bobble hat on.

Have you warmed up yet?
Its bloomin freezing in Prestwich too, my milk bottles were frozen to the doorstep this morning.
Pogles top tips
Take a hot water bottle in tomorrow - you could fill it full of hot toddy and thereby keep both your insides and outsides warm during the morning.

Have you thought about using the outside of the office as a giant fridge?Originally posted by EternalOptimist View PostIn the office and its freezing. -7.1 outside, and not much warmer in here. The place was closed down last week and I am first in. The milk has gone off so I had to throw the coffee away.
Its a miserable way to earn a crust
I have a thick cardie and my coat on, plus another cardie over my knees.
still shivering
