Which is best all in one: Printer, Scanner and Copier

Get yourself a nice Epson RX420, wonderful printer, good scanner, photo printing, and the you can get the ink for it for next to nothing, well impressed by it's performance

The only other thing to remember is that the print head will evenutally wear down. This happened after the fifth refill on my deskjet.

Incidently, most refill kits, nowadays, come with a "twiddle" drill for those cartridges without holes.

I use tesco value kit - the colour one is abou £8.00 and gets 4 refills out of it and the quality is excellent - even for photograph prints.

Interesting. I tried refilling a HP black cartridge once, made the proverbial pig's ear of it, and never tried again. You reckon the Lexmark one is easy to do?

All carts are easy to fill (Except Epsons(Cheaper to buy compatibles))

The most common problem when refilling ink carts is people put too much ink into the tanks. (Very messy)

All carts are quite easy to fill - Most of the HP carts have a blue lid which is easy to remove with a craft knife. Once removed there are holes which are used to put the ink into. You then secure the lid back with super glue to each corner.

If the cart does not have a lid (Black only) the best way of filling it is to use a drill - Make the hole towards the top of the cart. Fill with ink - Put some tape over the hole when finished. You can reuse the hole the next time you want to refill.

Wear rubber gloves as the ink takes about 3 days to get off your hands.

Must admit that I refill the black ones, it's simple & cheap, and works reasonably well. And costs a lot less than a new black cartridge...

sounds like a done deal. mine is a laser b/w/scanner/copier/teasmade/martini mixer etc etc so can't advise...

Mine does the washing up and isn't too bad in the sack either.

Agreed, I recently (March -ish) bought a Lexmark x52?? for about £60.
It does all I need from a printer/scanner/copier, and it's nice having a photocopier to hand.
BUT I just paid £40 for two cartridges.
