I just gave up smoking completely. If you make your mind up to stop, just do it. It's a hell of a lot easier than doing it by degrees.

I read the book once, years ago. It worked for a few weeks and I gave the book away to another smoker.

However, on DS' recommendation, have just ordered the audio book and will try again.

It's a habit which makes me feel ill now, esp. today, but my circle of friends are almost all smokers, and down the pub after a few beers to weaken one's resolve, it's all to easy to nip out for a smoke with the others.

God damn I'm so weak willed but it's a good job I've never tried cocaine or tulip like that, else I'd be really in trouble.

Can't recommend this highly enough. I just listened to it in the car for a couple of weeks. By the time I'd finished I just didn't want to smoke any more.
