I keep having to pay more tax than I get back in public services to pay for the undeserving (and to be fair, the deserving as well). Is that not socialism? The question is not whether we're a socialist country, it's the extent to which we're a socialist country.

I mean go out save the world from the baddies, take advantage of corruption and people's misinformation. Buy cars regularly but work XXX hours per week.

I wonder if anyone from the real capitalists is on here , but I highly doubt it , I mean what the hell a man with a few millions would be doing on a forum site ?

Communism == totalitarianism, socialism is just a wheeze of a notion and I would say GB was a socialist country for many a year despite being funded by a capitalists nation during that time. Communism has never existed if you use the correct definition by the father of communism.

I asked my dad when I was about 8 if he was a capatalist, it was when Thatcher was just in, he said no. A few years later I found out he was a director of a national company with a large slice of ownership. So what exactly is a capatalist? Someone who makes money from capital? I think we all are now. Maybe he just never wanted to tell me or maybe capitalist is something different now.

It's not so much capitalism, as freedom from socialist controls, waste and daftness.

I don't necessarily agree with all the greed but I'm happy to live in a relatively stable country brought about mostly by capitalism/consumerism.

You can enjoy the benefits without being suckered into the entire philosophy.
