Earlier this year the tinfoil hat sites stated that the Bilderberg group were planning to pump the markets back up again and then crash it all back down again, much harder this time and the recovery would be long and protracted and we would have a world of "searing financial pain".
Pondlife apparently works for a Bilderberger and said something about they were preparing for another crash (correct me if I'm wrong here PL - but I don't think I am)
Seeing as this rally has been based largely on bailout cash and optimism rather than fundamentals and increased output a correction to March lows would be a likely outcome. However, the question for me is, how deep does this go. Is the Dubai default going to trigger a whole chain of Countries defaulting and banks going pop.
The potential for this Dubai thing to be another Lehman brothers is there. I have my suspicions that there will be a lot more to come. The markets have held their nerve so far on this, but any more sudden shocks like Greece defaulting or Vietnam and this could all go off big time.

History demonstrates the best trading strategy is to adopt the reverse of the CUK Cassandra predictions - therefore the Stock Market will have a boom before Xmas.

Are our FTSE 3500 DEcember puts totally f**ked ?Originally posted by SantaClaus View PostPlace your bets ladies and gentleman please.
Added my personal definition as requested by HAB and others:- A drop that is big enough to cause panic.
- A sharp move down (even if it doesnt touch the March lows) in a short amount of time.
- Panic selling and media hysteria.

Depends whether money invested in shares is a good hedge against economic armageddon and currency collapse I suppose. Presumably some shares would do badly in that scenario? E.g. Banks?

It`s already happened - March was the low.
Depends how you define a crash. I define a crash as in much lower than the March low. A return to a sniffing distance ofthe March low would not be a crash, it`d still be a recovery
(the trend would be still up)
