    This is how Science is supposed to work

    Mammoth dung discovery


    This seems to be a classic example of how science is supposed to work.
    There were two main conflicting theories here, about why the mammoth became extinct. Were they hunted to extinction by Clovis man, or were they wiped out by a cataclysmic event such as a meteor strike?

    New evidence has emerged that both theories were wrong, so both camps have gone back to the drawing board, and ditched their, obviously flawed, models.

    I like this, it restores my faith in the Scientific process
