One of the people on my list did borrow some money from me and not pay it back. It would (as the old joke goes) have been worth it not to ever see the **** again but in fact I have encountered him occasionally and he has carried on as if nothing ever happened, but he is well known for brass neck although not famous enough to be outed here.
