Imagine all the Beanos, hoops and Black Jacks* you could buy with the £20,000 finders fee.Originally posted by wobbegong View PostEven an eleven year old with a passing interest in fossils could work that out.

Mum's the word!
Not really giving the game away too much. The fossil was discovered by a local collector along the Jurassic Coast, a 150km (95 mile) stretch of coastline covering Dorset and East Devon that spans 185 million years of geological history.
The exact location of the find is not being revealed, as Dorset County Council does not want to encourage people to head to the spot. The area is unstable and prone to rock falls and landslides.
Even an eleven year old with a passing interest in fossils could work that out.

Hmmmmm, Nuns...... School..... Ex-Convent Girls.....Originally posted by Pogle View PostGod botherers as you put it - are taught that the creation story is - just that - a story, at least that was what the Nuns at my school taught me.
I have never had any problem with evolution, I find it all fascinating.
There are some people who choose to believe the story of creation is reported fact, that is their choice and they are entitled to it.
However I do not believe it should be taught as scientific fact. Belief is one thing - science is another.

With a large hammer and a hell of a lot of faith.
Hey, they have their opinion, I have mine and you have yours.
For the sake of harmony I leave 'em to it!

I saw this on the "local" BBC News this morning. Looked like a pile of rocks that somebody had arranged to vaguely form the outline of a sea monster's skull.
