    If you believe in the CO2 myth, consider that the UK generates a tiny % of the world's emissions and cars generate a small % of that.

    But, it's an easy tax target to fill the huge debt the government has run up.

    It's all about green issues you see.

    Don't worry about cleaning up industry, stifle it instead! Don't worry about supply side incentivising, tax instead! Nice little earner for the government, britain becomes even less competitive. Everyone's a winner!
