Was it worth going in to Iraq? Hmm.
Ask the people that were persecuted, tortured or killed by Saddam (and they were many) - they would probably say yes.
Ask here in the UK and we would probably say no.
The sad truth is that the job of removing Saddam should have been done the first time around - and now we have to deal with that mistake.
My sig still stands.

Ha ha ha! Love it!Originally posted by Board Game Geek View Posthung, drawn and quartered. Then tarred. Then set on fire. Then sprinkled with Holy Water. Then beheaded. Then have a blessed wafer (laced with River Trent Spring Water) placed in his mouth. Then the remains placed in rockets and blasted off in to random space. With a sign on each rocket saying "And don't bother coming back". And each rocket to have a nuclear bomb on board just in case.

Aye and I hope they have a painful death when their time comes.Originally posted by bogeyman View PostA ghastly mess.
Honestly! Who here wanted this utterly pointless bloody war?
The cost in financial terms, and more importantly, in human lives, is staggering. But for what? and why?
There are dark powers in the world that orchestrate these abominations. We have no control over them.

I heard over a million Iraqis were killed in the "war", most of whom were civilians. The Iraqis must be quite a tolerant lot.
