Thinking about it, I bet he's the first person from a polytechnic to win the Nobel prize after they got dumbed down.
But as they used to be centres of technical (as opposed ot academic) excellence, I wouldn't be surprised to see that someone else from a poly had a Nobel prize , probably around the turn of the century.Last edited by sasguru; 6 October 2009, 15:35.
