Just had some very interesting heart palpitations... (I think it was the coffee).
Just as well I wasn't having a potnoodle or I'd be really worried...
It’s probably nothing but treat it as a early warning alarm if you are >50yrs.
I would suggest see your GP for an MOT and to buy an upper arm (not wrist) automatic blood pressure kit (£10 ish). Taken it in the morning when relaxed your BP should be less than 130/80 . if you are getting anything higher, you need advice or treatment and start taking an Aspirin a day immediately. (unless you are a haemophilic) If its 160/x or higher then get an urgent appointment. There is normally a secondary problem causing hypertension.
Age in general will see hardening the blood vessels hence it will happen to most people when they get older however there are some really good drugs to relax them and clean them out. It’s a bit like getting Dino-Rod in.
Ask the doctor to arrange an ECG test. The results can be read from a specialist.
My BP shot up to 210/110 and after treatment it’s down to 120/80 without current medication and passed my medical for PPL level.
