First proper one I ever went to. Man what a blast. What a line up too, Ultrasonic live. Bass Generator. Whatever happened to them. I was on the video as well. 16 year old malkyed kid wandering past the camera.
I was always at the Rezzies though at the Highland centre in Inglston. First time I saw TTF was there, hah now that's a blast from the past.

"On the world stage, 1989 was the year of the collapse of communism and the fall of the Berlin Wall."
And just 20 years later a partial failure of capitalism........
Those were the days, where`s the acid house smilies and funny dances

I just think it was really cool to be around then. But I may be biased.

Remember going to one in a Circus tent near Paisley, well dodgy bouncers with big FO dogs at the door. Police raided it about 6 am, tonnes of them came in with riot shields etc and the DJ decides to put on fk the police by NWA. I figured that was a good time to leave ...

Sure everyone loves the era they grew up in, but I always figure I had it great - I got the tail end of punk, the birth of hip hop and indy and turned 18 just as the rave scene kicked off.
I spent that summer in London working before heading to Uni, then got the a bunch of the first raves in Scotland after the summer of love in London, result!
I loved those early raves, it was all about the music (The drugs helped, but for me then that was nowhere near the main thing), the randomness of it all, shared empathy and making mates everywhere, the edge because of the illegality etc.
happy days.
Does this mean I'm now old?
