Well yesterday really....
Steria Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Web Developer with strong CMS (content management system), Java and C# skills. This is a 12 month fixed term contract to start ASAP therefore candidates with immediate availability will be favoured.
The range of activities and tasks to be undertaken by the Web Developer are:
Developing, Supporting and Enhancing applications and interfaces to all systems
Developing new Websites and systems to support customers requirements
Working with the IT Project Leader and Business Analyst to provide pre-sale support and guidance to customers
Working closely with the Business Analyst to ensure that specifications and estimates are completed on time
Investigating and resolving problems and where necessary liaising with software and hardware suppliers
Preparing and producing systems documentation in accordance with policies and procedures
Identifying issues and problems quickly and accurately and resolving in a timely, structured and logical way considering possible eventualities and options
Investigating and resolving support issues for the Front End applications
Supporting, maintaining and enhancing Front End applications
Writing and executing test plans and documenting results
Designing and developing any necessary test harnesses
Providing mentoring support and guidance to other development team members
Technical
demonstrate understanding of Web architectures and technologies
demonstrate knowledge and experience of use of structured methods and formal techniques and development tools
demonstrate a high degree of skill in diagnosing problems
demonstrate knowledge of the IT system/product being developed, including Middleware, database and infrastructure
. NET development experience required
Knowledge of Immediacy CMS/DMS would be advantageous
