Under new management. Been redecorated but fortunately only the ceiling got the stupid pastel shade. A lot cleaner and tidier than before but now food is astonishingly expensive, cheapest main course is over 12 quid. For that sort of money I'd expect proper restaurant service.

Went to this pub. The food from the menu I wanted was off. I asked for a piece of fish with a simple rocket salad and was told that I could not have salad, that I could only eat the set meals as I didn't want couscous I had fish on it own. Puddings are bought it. I will not be going back

A fantastic walk across Walton Heath can get you to this lovely pub. However there is a sting in the tail. Take out a small bank loan if you want to eat here

An unusual fairly unspoilt pub on the edge of woods and heathland inside the M25. Best kept a secret.

Well off the beaten track, a typical country pub (ie a bit shabby looking, but a friendly atmosphere nonetheless). Bizarrely, it has a collection of chamber-pots hanging from the ceiling. Not bad, worth a try (the pub that is, not the chamber-pots).

I didn't see a horse, but it was quite dark. Maybe next time...

went there had a nice cider. saw a horse.

Nothing wrong here once you've found it. A fine destination if you're out walking and a nice stop on the M25 as it's just off the Reigate turn.

The Sportsman is situated on the edge of Walton Heath, on Surrey's North Downs, close to the World Famous Golf Course. Dates back to 1500 when used as a Hunting Lodge by members of the Royal family. Today, the Heath is used by walkers, dog-walkers, horse riders and cyclists - rare old fashioned pub - GREAT!

A country pub for those who know how to find it (as it's off the beaten track ). Good beer & food , much favoured by walkers and people with horses , not far from Reigate .
